Join us at the Tingalpa Hotel to celebrate the Hakfoort Group family, owners and operators of six hotels in Queensland. Led by Dianne Hakfoort and Albert Hakfoort, the family's hotels are located in Brisbane, Toowoomba, and Bowen, employing around 200 staff. Under the banner of the Hakfoort Group, their establishments offer accommodations, restaurants, retail liquor, functions, and gaming services.
Dianne Hakfoort, the Director and Owner, embarked on a journey that took her from Adelaide to Sydney and New Zealand before settling in Mount Isa. It was there that she met her husband Albert (Snr). Together, they built their business empire, starting with a printing business and expanding into various ventures, including hotels and art supplies. Following Albert (Snr)'s passing, Dianne and her son Albert (Jnr) continued to lead the business, successfully selling and acquiring multiple hotels over the years.
Albert (Jnr), also a Director and Owner, began his journey in Mount Isa, working at his mother's picture framing store. He later ventured to England and returned to Brisbane, where he purchased the picture framing shop and expanded the family's business portfolio. Today, the Hakfoort Group family stands as a testament to their resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to providing exceptional hospitality experiences.
