This month's topic: Stress Less, Bounce Back Stronger: Managing Stress & Building Resilience
About our Speaker: Penny Dillion
Penny Dillon is a mental health educator, speaker and facilitator who works with workplaces to build mentally healthier teams. Drawing on her background as both a qualified counsellor and clinical nutritionist, Penny brings a practical, compassionate lens to topics like stress, burnout, resilience and setting healthy boundaries.
Penny delivers mental health and wellbeing training, blending evidence-based strategies with real-world insight. Penny also volunteers as a telephone crisis supporter at Lifeline and brings that frontline perspective into her sessions. With a relatable, engaging style, Penny is known for creating safe, meaningful conversations—something particularly valued by leaders navigating the pressures of family business dynamics. When she’s not presenting, she’s wrangling her three boys (and dog), paddleboarding, or rock climbing.
You can connect with Penny on LinkedIn & check out her website Mind Mood Food here.
Come and join our CBD Advisor Connect on Thursday, July 10th at Swaab, for an interactive Q&A session, where we will discuss with Penny:
- We all have a window of stress tolerance—inside this window, we remain flexible, adaptable, and stable. When we step outside of it, our ability to cope diminishes.
- The right balance of stress (the "Goldilocks zone") helps us optimize learning, growth, and productivity.
- Simple habits—like a daily 30-second cold shower—can strengthen resilience to stress over time.
- Understanding how to tell Family members are stressed or potentially struggling with mental health issues and what you can do to help them
For those of you that are new to the Advisor Group, this will be a great session to discuss with Penny her thoughts on how Advisors can leverage their skillsets to further engage with their Client’s Family Offices and improve their relationship with the family through this interesting & topical subject.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you to our Event Host
